The Licensing Manager will play a crucial role in actively managing soft-lines consumer product categories and driving licensing sales for their portfolio of brands. - Oversee the management and development of soft-lines consumer product categories, including apparel, accessories, and related merchandise.
- Identify new soft-lines product opportunities and evaluate potential partners and vendors for collaboration.
- Monitor market trends and consumer insights to drive product innovation and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Work closely with licensees to provide guidance on product design, quality, and brand consistency.
- Drive licensing sales by actively engaging with licensees, retailers, and potential partners.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize brand exposure.
- Lead negotiations of licensing agreements, including contract terms, royalty rates, and product categories.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to assess the profitability and potential of licensing opportunities.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with licensees, retailers, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates and reports to licensors and internal management regarding licensing programs, sales performance, and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of licensing programs and marketing initiatives.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences within the soft-lines category.
- Analyze sales data and market research to identify growth opportunities and recommend strategic actions.
- Provide insights and recommendations for product assortment, pricing, and distribution strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in soft-lines category management and licensing sales within the entertainment industry.
- Strong understanding of licensing agreements, contract negotiation, and intellectual property rights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, sales data, and financial reports.
- Knowledge of retail and merchandising strategies within the entertainment industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and licensing software applications.
