City University Qatar is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a College Librarian. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing, organizing, evaluating, and disseminating academic information to support our academic community, including students, researchers, and lecturing staff. Your responsibilities will also include developing the library collection, both physical and virtual, to enhance academic studies and specialist knowledge.

Qualifications for this position include a Master's degree in Library and Information Science or a Master's degree in Education coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science/Information Management, or a post-graduate diploma in Librarianship accredited by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). Proficiency in English, either as a native speaker or with an IELTS Academic score of 7.5, along with a working knowledge of Arabic, is required.

Ideal candidates will showcase a minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience as a senior librarian in an academic higher education setting. Prior experience in the GCC region or within a UK-style college environment is preferred, with a proven track record at the middle management level in a UK tertiary college library or a UK-style tertiary college in the Middle East.
