We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced
Legal Manager / Senior Legal Officer
to lead our legal department and provide expert legal guidance across all aspects of our real estate development operations. This role involves both strategic oversight and hands-on legal work, ensuring the company's interests are protected while maintaining full compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and proven experience managing legal teams and external counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Leadership & Strategy
Lead the legal department and oversee all legal activities related to real estate development, acquisitions, contracts, and corporate affairs.
Act as the primary legal advisor to senior management, providing clear, solution-oriented legal guidance on complex business matters.
Team Management
Manage and mentor a team of in-house legal professionals and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on risk mitigation and proactive legal support.
Contract Management
Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of legal documents, including joint venture agreements, land acquisitions, development and construction contracts, agency/broker agreements, and employment contracts.
Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and federal real estate laws, land use regulations, environmental standards, zoning laws, and building codes.
Implement and maintain legal compliance frameworks and internal controls.
Risk Management
Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to minimize or mitigate them across projects and business operations.
Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes affecting the real estate sector.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Manage legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters, working closely with external legal advisors to defend the company's interests effectively.
Due Diligence & Transactions
Oversee legal due diligence for property acquisitions and development opportunities, including title verification, zoning reviews, and environmental checks.
Provide legal insight and support throughout transaction structuring and closing.
Intellectual Property & Corporate Governance
Protect and manage the company's intellectual property, including trademarks and proprietary documentation.
Ensure all corporate governance and legal documentation is up to date and aligned with best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent legal degree from a recognized institution.
Minimum
8+ years of experience
in real estate law, with at least
3 years in a managerial or senior advisory role
.
Proven leadership experience in managing legal teams and external legal consultants.
Deep understanding of real estate transactions, property law, zoning, land use, and regulatory compliance.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
High level of integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.

Pay: AED1.00 - AED2.00 per month
