Legal Counsel, M&A and General Corporate Taylor Root has a great working relationship with this client, and they have come to us again to help them grow their leading UAE business, with international reach and ambitious expansion plans. They are now seeking to add an additional lawyer to join the corporate side of their team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the company\xe2\x80\x99s mergers and acquisitions activities in the UAE and beyond. Role and responsibilities:
- The role will focus predominantly onto broad corporate work (JV\xe2\x80\x99s, divestments, partnerships) as well as specific international M&A.
- Whilst you might typically be supported by outside counsel, the role requires someone with extensive due diligence and M&A documentation depth.
- Advise on legal matters related to mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, negotiations, drafting and reviewing transaction documents, and post-closing integration.
- Other functions will include driving streamlining projects, enhancing corporate performance across the business and improving efficiency.
- Provide legal support and advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including joint ventures, corporate restructuring, investments, and financing.
- Manage and coordinate with external counsel as required.
- Support the legal team on other ad hoc matters as required.
- You\xe2\x80\x99ll need at least 5+ years PQE and must have exposure to working for an international law firm or corporate.
- Direct experience of advising on large international M&A deals.
- You should be tech savvy and forward thinking in your approach.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You can be based in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
