About The Role

The individual will be responsible for providing operational support with the day-to-day legal needs of the business across all its business segments. The individual will be a member of FTI Consulting\'s EMEA legal, risk and compliance team, albeit shall be based in Dubai and have a primary focus of assisting with matters related to the Middle East and in particular in the Kingdom in Saudi Arabia where FTI Consulting has recently launched a new office and is expanding its on the ground presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Transactional:
  • Draft, review and negotiate Engagement Letters and NDAs with clients and other third parties
  • Coordinate and prepare legal response to requests for proposals ("RFP")
  • Conducting legal research
  • Provide instructions to and liaise with external legal advisors
  • Provide succinct and clear memos/summaries of legal research/external advice to assist with decision making by internal legal team members or internal business units


Corporate secretarial:
  • Corporate governance, including knowledge of managing constitutional documents, preparing board packs, preparing resolutions and minutes, powers of attorney, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, commercial license renewals and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia maintaining key corporate government related registrations
  • Maintain and update corporate records


General:
  • Legal support to internal departments, including HR, Finance and Tax.
  • Overall assistance with FTI group\'s legal, risk and compliance function and related documentation and administration: general contractual matters contracts, litigation, employment issues, vendor registration requirements and related admin processes etc.
  • Assistance with administrative tasks such as ensuring adequate filing of documentation, arranging for document execution, monitoring status of documentation formalities and following up where required.
  • Although focus of work will be to the Middle East part of the business, support may also be required to be provided in respect of the Group\'s operations and business lines across all of EMEA and the individual shall work alongside the broader EMEA legal team based in London.


Experience and skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in both English and Arabic are essential (fluent)
  • Legal degree from an accredited international university, or Bachelor\'s Degree plus Masters in Law
  • At least 1 year\'s experience in corporate and commercial matters either at an international law firm or in-house following any mandatory training period
  • Successful candidate must be able to identify and to analyze thoroughly a diverse array of general contractual concerns and succinctly and effectively communicate conclusions to business management
  • Good business sense, with the ability to analyze and identify key elements and issues that are important to reach sound conclusions
  • Some experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would be preferable, but is not essential
