The Legal Counsel will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and VP Corporate Legal to draft, review, and negotiate contracts, support business transactions, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. This role is ideal for a bilingual legal professional with corporate and real estate experience in the Middle East.

Job Overview
The Legal Counsel will deliver responsive, business-oriented legal support to senior management across various business units at DP World. This includes preparing and negotiating legal documents, analyzing legal risks in contracts and new ventures, and collaborating with external counsel to safeguard DP World's legal and commercial interests. The role requires sound knowledge of corporate and real estate law, especially in the regional context.
Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including consultancy, service, lease, NDA, and MOU agreements
• Provide timely, reliable, and commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders
• Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate actions for new transactions and projects
• Support senior legal leadership in delivering strategic legal solutions
• Liaise and coordinate with external counsel to ensure cost-effective legal representation
• Monitor and manage external legal work to ensure compliance with DP World's standards
• Maintain organized legal records and ensure proper documentation filing
• Uphold DP World's values and support internal governance initiatives
• Handle additional duties as delegated by management

Job Expectations

• Bachelor's Degree in Law from an accredited university in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, or equivalent English-speaking country
• Licensed to practice law
• Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in the Middle East, with in-house legal experience in the real estate sector preferred
• Strong drafting skills and legal knowledge of corporate and commercial law
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic
• High level of commercial awareness and understanding of business priorities
