Peerpoint is Allen & Overy's global platform for self-directed consultant lawyers who want to access the best work, clients, resources and bespoke support, whilst working on assignments with Allen & Overy or directly with clients as a legal consultant.
Typical assignments based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai are 6 months in length and there are flexible working arrangements available. Alternatively, consultants have the opportunity to undertake assignments remotely for clients based within Abu Dhabi or Dubai whilst being based in the UK, Australia, Singapore or Hong Kong.

We are currently looking for lawyers with 4-10 years' top-tier post-qualification experience in Corporate (M&A joint ventures and/ or ECM) and/or Commercial (IP, IT or commercial contracts).
Role Requirements
Legal consultancy can offer lawyers fresh and varied work in a range of in house teams and potentially within A&O practice. Currently we are seeking lawyers with 4-10 years' top-tier post-qualification experience within Corporate (M&A joint ventures and/ or ECM) and/or Commercial (IP, IT or commercial contracts).
Successful applicants will:
Have a minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a top tier law firm, ideally with some in house exposure either directly or via secondment
Have gained experience across mergers and acquisitions, general corporate advisory,
,ommercialadvisory andcontracts, IT, technology, IPand/oroutsourcing,cybersecurity and/or transformation, payments and/or fintec
Have excellent academic credentials;
A practicing certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practice as a lawyer
A consultant mindset - be resilient, open to experiencing new challenges and environments and be excited to develop their skill set and brand within the consultancy field
Examples of recent opportunities
Technology lawyer to work on a part time basis for a corporate client advising on commercial contracts, software issues and procurement activities.
Corporate commercial lawyer supporting a technology business based in Abu Dhabi on a range of corporate and commercial activities including R&D agreements and IP matters.
Corporate lawyer with strong project management skills to assist a client in Dubai with preparation for an IPO

In-housewith one of our clients - this could mean working with a client either virtually or locally to support a project, regulatory reform or transactional work during periods of absence. Assignments can range from three to twelve months in duration and will vary in hours.
In the Allen & Overy UAE practiceto support a specific client or the practice generally during peak volumes. We have consultants that step into the team on an ad hoc basis and those who work regularly to support the Practice.
We only take you on when we see a demand for your particular expertise, making sure there is a good chance we can provide you with work on an on-going basis. We cannot guarantee work but we are every bit as invested in moving your career forward as you are.
