We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Legal Assistant
with proven experience in the
UAE legal system
, specifically within the
Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Union Court jurisdictions
. The ideal candidate should be capable of
independently handling the filing of civil and criminal cases
, maintaining legal records, and supporting lawyers with case preparation and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file
civil and criminal cases
in
Dubai Courts, Abu Dhabi Courts, and Union (Federal) Courts
with minimal supervision.
Draft legal documents such as complaints, petitions, memorandums, and power of attorneys (POAs).
Liaise with court clerks, public prosecutors, police departments, and other legal authorities.
Monitor and track court cases, hearing dates, and deadlines using UAE court systems (e.g., Dubai Courts e-services, ADJD portal, Ministry of Justice portal).
Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized, updated, and compliant with UAE legal procedures.
Coordinate with clients for documentation, signatures, and case updates.
Translate legal documents (if bilingual) and prepare legal correspondence in English and/or Arabic.
Perform legal research and assist in trial and hearing preparation.
Assist with licensing, notarization, and attestation of documents when necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law or Legal Studies preferred.
Minimum
3 years of legal assistant experience
in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of the
UAE legal systems
, particularly
Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the Union Courts
.
Proficiency in using
e-services platforms
of UAE Courts (e.g., Dubai Courts Portal, ADJD, Ministry of Justice).
Language Proficiency:
Arabic language is mandatory. English is desirable.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
UAE driving license is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with UAE Public Prosecution procedures.
Experience in criminal case documentation and police complaints.
Knowledge of UAE laws regarding company formation, contracts, labor, and tenancy.
