Job Description

Legal Assistant & Arabic Typist Job Responsibilities:

  • Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney.
  • Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas; drafting complaints; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; generating status reports.
  • Keeps legal manager informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.
  • Maintains case by verifying outstanding balances of debts with clients.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
  • Provide continuous legal awareness to the other departments
  • Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the law by reading journals and law reports.
  • Organizing attestation of certificates and legal translation of documents and other activities related to immigration and labour, CIVIL DEFENCE.
  • Acts as a midpoint between the governmental entities and the investors (foreign and local) to ensure that all conflicts are resolved and the processes are flowing in a smooth and efficient manner.
  • Organize all routine processing of Immigration documents e.g. residence, work permits, medical examination, and visas, to complete all the necessary legal formalities.
  • Monitor and analyze pending legislation and regulations which may impact the organization's operations and alert management in order to analyze alternatives and undertake appropriate action.
  • Civil defense approvals and document verification.
Legal Assistant & Typist @ Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in LLB / Law with 2-4 years experience.
  • Proven working experience as Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
  • Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office - the UAE
  • Computer literacy
  • Proficiency in Arabic & English ( MUST )
  • Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
  • Ability to do multiple activities and work under pressure
* MUST HAVE UAE DRIVING LICENSE.
  • A very good package negotiable will be offered to the right candidate.

  • Legal Case regarding Payment issue: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
  • LAW DEGREE (Preferred)
