Role

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. We are looking for ambitious and motivated colleague to be able to support teaching teams and contribute in the development of the subject area. To provide excellent teaching to the university in the relevant areas of expertise. Of particular interest are applicants who can teach across accounting and business law disciplines as well as teach on research methods. To be an active citizen of the subject group and the Department, engaging with international collaborative partnerships, and work closely with local business communities. To have a portfolio of research activities that offer realistic prospect of publication in international refereed journals. Experience of teaching UK curriculum is a key requirement of this role.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to have expertise in accounting and finance. You will be familiar with delivering teaching and learning within a higher education or academic-level delivery. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the University community. You will share DMU\'s passion to provide outstanding and inclusive outcomes for all of its students.

Of particular interest are applicants who can teach one or more of the following:

• Business Taxation;
• Forensic Accounting;
• Financial Reporting;
• Accounting Standards and Theory;
• Business Statistics

You will hold a PhD (Accounting) or Postgraduate degree in an accounting discipline, ACCA or CA, CIMA, ICAEW or any other equivalent professional qualification.
