Job Description

Provide instruction, remediation, and evaluation in didacticand clinical learning concepts, including patient-care simulations.


Demonstrate comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of nursingconcepts, competencies, and current practices to effectively provide academicsupport to students.


Exhibit thorough knowledge of university programs andaccurately communicate academic policies and regulations to students, ensuringthey understand their academic requirements and options.


Demonstrate effective behaviors and accountability in meetingstandards of service excellence to students, fellow team members, and externalagencies.


Communicate and document students' academic progress toacademic leadership.


Coordinate and supervise students during lab experiences,providing individual guidance for practice and remediation of technical skillsas requested by faculty and students.


Participate in the planning and scheduling of open labutilization times to ensure availability, effective communication, andappropriate resources.


Support the preparing and implementation of the learning supportplans, programs, strategies, and actions in alignment with theUniversity/College strategies for enhancing students' learning experiences andeducation.


Manage Learning Support social media accounts, along withpublicity and awareness campaigns.


Establish collaborative relationships with the InformationTechnology Services Directorate and other academic departments.


Supervise peer tutors, graduate assistants, and teachingassistants.


Establish constructive relationships with students, bothindividually and in groups, to assess their learning needs.


Analyze statistics and prepare comprehensive reports to informthe effectiveness of learning support activities.


Perform other tasks and duties that may be required to meetthe role's requirements and the aims of the college and University.



Qualifications

Education and certifications


Bachelor's Degree in nursing from areputable university.


A Master's degree in Nursing from areputable university, with a preferred specialization in Medical-Surgical orCritical Care Nursing.


Active registered nurse license from homecountry or country of residency.


An educator license from Qatar's Departmentof Healthcare Professions (DHP) must be obtained within six months ofemployment.


Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(BLS CPR) required, ACLS preferred.


Languages


English is required.


Arabic is preferred.


Experience


A minimum of three years of clinical experience as aregistered general nurse following licensure.


At least one year of experience in an academic environmentproviding classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support after obtainingthe master's degree.


Has experience supervisingnursing students at clinical sites and has taught clinical courses within thelast five years of their professional experience.

However, if no course work was completed,an copy of certificate letter from the registrar of your highest credential granting institution regarding your highest academic degree). Any additional documentation that you feel is relevant to your application.
