The role of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is to provide support to Students & Staff in the Early Years & Primary Phases of the School. The Learning Support Assistant will support the teachers in enhancing the effective involvement of students in their academic and social development.Reporting To: Class TeacherResponsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Support & work alongside Teachers planning to support students learning.\xe2\x80\xa2 Preparing the learning environment under the direction of the Teacher i.e preparing classrooms materials, equipment & supplies.\xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor, maintain & review records of student progress and provide support based on their needs.\xe2\x80\xa2 Support the teachers during field trips, group activities, sports events or other events etc.\xe2\x80\xa2 Support specific groups of students in lessons so that they may access learning at their own pace.Job Specification: \xe2\x80\xa2 An \xe2\x80\x98Outstanding\xe2\x80\x99 teacher with at least 2 years of experience working in an international school.\xe2\x80\xa2 The candidate should hold a degree i.e., B.Ed. or a B.A or equivalent.\xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient and experienced at teaching Arabic to native & non-native students at FS2, Key Stages 1,2, 3 & 4, GCSE / IGCSE, and Key Stage 5 (A/A2/AS Levels via Edexcel, AQA and CIE);\xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates\xe2\x80\x99 qualifications will need to be attested by the UAE Embassy in the country of qualification including the attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai. In addition, the candidates qualifications will need to go through the equivalisation process.\xe2\x80\xa2 Fluent in Arabic and English speakers available to work from 7 am \xe2\x80\x93 4.30pm.\xe2\x80\xa2 Strong work ethics along with a commitment to staff & student privacy.\xe2\x80\xa2 Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
