Aldar Education is currently seeking two outstanding Learning Resource Assistants to join our growing family at Aldar Education, starting immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi's leading school group. Successful candidates will combine excellent track records of effective leadership experience, developed in the UK, USA or other international settings, with strong inter-personal skills and cultural awareness with the ability to manage the demands and needs of a wide range of stakeholders from Board level to parents, teachers and Principals. Exceptional communication skills combined with being a visible leader and ambassador for the company are central to this role as is a good grasp of the commercial demands of a private education group. The role requires high level strategic thinking combined with a firm grasp of how to ensure outstanding education outcomes across a network of schools. Candidates must be committed to working in partnership with national education authorities and developing ways to engage with strategic partners to support the work of schools, the group as a whole and the wider education vision of the nation. A strong commercial awareness is essential. The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region. RESPONSIBILITIES Cataloguing all resources into the automated library system - Follett. All resources must be catalogued according to the Dewey system. Books must be labelled and covered. Work with the librarian on timetable and other activities for classes. Supporting EAL students with their literacy, monitoring progress Supporting teachers and running intervention groups Responsible for database admin of Accelerated Reader. Enter classes and teaching staff, perform day to day functions to maintain the program, support teachers and manage resources to support AR within the library. Running and Monitoring the AR and Star Reading quizzes and providing teachers with the necessary data. Complying with the requirements of health and safety, other relevant legislation, and school policies . Follow the school's behaviour policy. Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students' needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/ Bachelor's Degree. Knowledge of Arabic language is advantageous Minimum Experience Experience of working in a fast-paced environment Job Specific Knowledge & Skills Basic computer literacy. Outstanding organizational skills. Attention to detail and good problem solving ability. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic and English. A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life A clean record through police check
