Wood is currently inviting applications for the Lead Telecommunications Engineer position at our office in Abu Dhabi. Below are further details about the role.
Responsibilities:
In depth Knowledge in LAN &WAN, ACS, CCTV, FOC, IDS, PAGA, Hotline systems, F&G and IP telephone
Responsible for production and / or review of deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, Coverage studies, specifications, reports, evaluations
Technical bid evaluations, Vendor document review and approvals
Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT\xe2\x80\x99s) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)
Attend discipline specific and general training courses where required
Ensure that design methods, standards and data used on assigned projects meet the Client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements
Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards
Experience in FEED, Brownfield, Upstream Oil
Experience in Vendor package management
Familiar with the use of industry standards and codes
Strong analytical and problem - solving skills
Good Oral and Communication skills
Must have good interpersonal skills / team player
Able to demonstrate team working skills
Flexible with a can - do attitude
Skills / Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the oil and gas industry mainly being offshore downstream
Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design company
Demonstrated leadership experience and previous track record of successfully working in engineering team
Experience of working with multi - national and multi - cultural project teams is strongly preferred
Previous experience of working for Wood is strongly preferred
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Telecoms Engineering
