Position Overview
The Lead Technical Architect at Azizi Developments will be responsible for guiding the technical development of architectural projects within the Design 360 Studio. This role ensures that all technical documentation complies with Dubai authority requirements, international codes, and project specifications while maintaining alignment with concept design intent. The position requires extensive experience in hospitality and large-scale projects, technical leadership, and close collaboration with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of projects through all design phases with emphasis on authority submissions and compliance
• Review and approve detailed drawings to ensure accuracy, quality, and constructability
• Coordinate technical issues with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve challenges
• Ensure all technical documentation complies with Dubai Municipality requirements and international standards (IBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, LEED, etc.)
• Oversee and mentor technical design teams to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards
• Conduct regular design reviews to verify compliance, alignment with project goals, and adherence to concept intent
• Collaborate with the Head of Department to ensure delivery against targets and compliance objectives
• Support implementation of BIM workflows and digital collaboration tools

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
• 10-15 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a strong focus on hospitality projects in the UAE or GCC
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Certification in BIM workflows is preferred
• Dubai Municipality registration is an advantage
• Strong understanding of international codes and sustainable design frameworks
• Proven leadership skills in managing technical teams and complex project requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder communication abilities
