Job Description

Overview

Reporting to the Director, Procurement, the Lead, Supply Chain role is responsible for managing the inventories and distributions, which include but is not limited to managing vendors, following up and receiving, working with transporters, scheduling the deliveries, stock alerting to stakeholders, conducting periodic stock counts and maintaining the accounting record of all the commercial transactions made by stores to ensure the availability of necessary recources.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and manages the implementation of the division\xe2\x80\x99s strategic and operational goals and continuously monitor progress towards their achievement.
  • Pro-actively participates in collaboration with the Line Manager to meet the division\xe2\x80\x99s strategic and operational goals.
  • Adheres to the division\'s policies, procedures and standards while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Contributes in developing the division\'s policies and procedures and provides recommendations towards improving them wherever applicable.
  • Contributes towards an innovative culture of continuous improvement for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participates in meetings and maintains professionalism and confidentiality as per the organization\'s standard code of conduct.
  • Completes personal performance evaluation cycle in a timely manner..
  • Maintains the list of all asset vendors/contracts and ensures full compliance to the relevant procurement and supply chain policies and procedures.
  • Leads operational stock management activities and identified discrepancies to ensure the availability of sufficient stock.
  • Manages distribution and oversees transportation and scheduling of deliveries to ensure their delivery in a timely manner.
  • Handles follow-up questions from suppliers, service providers and clients to resolve any discrepancies related to stocks.
  • Maintains the complete record of transactions made with all the vendors and service providers to ensure all transactions are recorded.
  • Prepares the periodic itemized statements of all the invoices and stocks for the relevant internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decision making.
  • Closely monitors the stocks, movements, consumptions and near expiries to inform the stakeholders to salvage material loss.
  • Supports internal supply chain stakeholders with the preparation of project accounts, financial budgets and financial analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Provides supervision, guidance, on the job training and share continuous constructive feedback for direct reports (if any).
  • Communicates effectively with team members and maintains good inter-functional liaison to ensure smooth implementation of operational activities.
  • Communicates applicable regulatory requirements in a timely and clear manner within the division.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business Administration or related fields.
  • Six (6) years of procurement and supply chain experience inclusive of three (3) years supervisor/ management experience.
  • Experience in healthcare supply chain operational management, especially managing the multiple warehouse and shipment movements.
Desired:
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic
