for complex external data sources, including real-time and batch processing pipelines

Required Qualifications:

20+ years of experience delivering high-performance systems and data platforms in: Energy and Commodities Trading and Financial Services and Data Services. Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and data engineering Deep hands-on experience with: Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake, and containerized infrastructure (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Recent leadership of a large-scale cloud re-platforming and data migration initiative for a global commodities data provider. Proven track record in Designing and implementing robust data ingestion pipelines for complex external datasets (e.g., global shipping, weather feeds) and Delivering modular cloud architectures using Databricks and supporting technologies and Redesigning enterprise data models for improved consistency, scalability, and usability. Experience as Lead Architect for UK net-zero energy generator's trading risk assessment and dispatch platform and Chief Architect in European energy trader's IT transformation programme and Solution Designer for Virtual Power Plant platforms and Master Data APIs. Strong blend of Technical leadership and Architecture governance and Hands-on development expertise. Adept at shaping and delivering complex enterprise platforms with a focus on long-term scalability, maintainability, and performance.
