Job Description

Summary We are seeking for highly skilled Project Manager with experience in grid automation projects to lead complex projects in UAE and other Gulf Countries, to be based in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will have strong background in project management ,power grid system and automation technology. managing cross-functional teams, stakeholder to deliver complex projects on time within budget and scope.
The project manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects in different phases from planning , engineering, delivery till commissioning and close out.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead Projects in accordance with the BU guidelines and policies, with the objective of achieving the Project's turnover, operating income, Sales, Billing and cash targets.
• Ensure on time delivery of GA projects within GA framework and GE company value /Ethics charter.
• Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction and quality of work
• Maintain comprehensive documents & records of projects executed.
• Ensure commitments to customer are met in accordance with contract with clear feedback through consistent customer interaction, e.g. communication, (phone, e-mail, etc.) and customer meetings, periodic reviews etc.
• Prepare reports using internal tools such as MPR, T@IS, Primavera etc.
• Compliance / improvement of the Company's Quality & EHS policy.
• Proactively identify projects risks, develop mitigation strategies and solve problems.
• Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure availability of suitable PPE for T&C personnel, both internal and subcontracted.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• Proficiency in English is a must and Arabic speaking is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 year working experience in Grid Automation Project.
• PMP or GE Equivalent experience is mandatory
• Previous Experience in executing complex projects related to TAQA, TRANSCO , ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Based utilities.
• Have a working knowledge of commercial, contractual conditions, ideally in electrical power system or associate industries.
• Experience of managing projects for protection and control systems is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to read / interpret tender / contract documentation, schematics, procedures and policy guidelines.
• Ability to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and to meet strict deadlines, whilst working in a team
• Excellent leadership and stake holder management skills

Desired Characteristics

• Masters in engineering or business is an advantage, but not compulsory
• Arabic speaking is advantage
