to oversee and manage all technical procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background combined with procurement and vendor management expertise. You will serve as a key liaison between engineering, project management, and the supply chain to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the procurement engineering process from requisition through delivery, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project schedules.
Evaluate technical proposals and bids in collaboration with engineering teams.
Interface with suppliers and vendors to clarify specifications, resolve technical issues, and negotiate terms.
Develop and maintain qualified vendor lists for critical materials and equipment.
Review and approve procurement documentation, including material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and purchase orders.
Monitor supplier performance and address quality or delivery issues proactively.
Support cost reduction initiatives and identify sourcing opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and client requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field);
3+ years of experience in engineering procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of technical procurement processes, supply chain principles, and vendor management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
PMP or similar certification is a plus.
