Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the process engineering activities required by active product line projects, which may be new build facility designs, brownfield upgrades or technical studies.
Working closely with the proposals team to develop fast track, cost-effective technical solutions as part of responses to tender or budget proposals. In this regard the engineer will be responsible for the conceptual development of the required process to meet the client specifications.
Ensure compliance with the technical terms of operations/contracts.
Represent Expro as process engineering focal point with clients, prospective clients or vendors
Key Activities and Accountabilities

• Act as a process lead on product line projects and be responsible for preparing process engineering documentation such as calculations, simulations, datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, technical reports etc. to meet project deadlines and check for compliance with industry standards and Expro's policies and procedures. For larger projects this is expected to require leading and supporting other process engineers allocated to the project team.
• Work independently to review ITTs and prepare technical proposals, including technical proposal writing, for the proposals team based on cost-effective, fast track technical solutions while complying with ITT requirements. Must also be able to provide alternative technical solutions that fulfil operational requirements but offer faster/more cost-effective solution to clients.
• Apply best process solutions using proven processes to allow Expro to meet export specifications.
• Review and adoption of new processes, when proven, to provide upsides in terms of build cost, operability and reliability.
• Contribute to the development of process engineering processes, procedures and documentation to improve the quality and time required for engineering deliverables
• Provide input to proposals cost estimation as required.
• Mentoring and knowledge transfer to other process engineering team members.
• Prepare RFQ documentation for process and utility equipment and review vendor bids and detailed documentation.
• Attend HAZOP and other workshops as required and act as process focal point.
• Attend KO meetings, expediting visits, FAT visits and vendor facilities as required. Engage in vendor (process house/fabricator) interactions to ensure that deliverables are met.
• Provide technical support for Expo's operational facilities and regions as required. This may include visits to local or international facilities as well as remote support.
• Interaction with clients to ensure satisfaction with Expro process solution, or technical solution/remedial action plan for ongoing operations.
• Actively participate in engineering meetings with internal and external parties and contribute to specific design reviews.
• Upload information to engineering databases and be proficient in the use of technical software packages.
• Support other engineering disciplines as required to produce multi-disciplinary engineering documentation and gain exposure of other engineering scopes.
• Local and international travel to vendors, clients or to operational facilities.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as and when required to ensure all questions and queries are resolved and liaise with supervisor / manager on any issues or concerns.
• Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro's reputation is minimised. If necessary, report possible violations or conflicts of interest.
• Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes & systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorization for any deviations from standard procedures as appropriate.
• Actively comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Promote HSE awareness; take responsibility and be accountable for own safety and safety of others. Demonstrate the personal application of HSE procedures in daily performance and always follow the 12 Safety House Rules.
• Ensure objectives set under Employee Development Plan are met.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications
Mandatory.

• University Degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum fifteen years' experience as process engineer or proposals engineer within the oil and gas industry.
• Must be familiar with upstream oilfield technology, in particular processing, separation and treatment of oil, gas and produced water in both onshore and offshore applications.
• Class leading gas treatment and processing knowledge.
• Must have experience with Early Production Facilities or modular equipment packages
• Previous experience in generating technical proposals and/or cost estimation
• Development of process designs from concept phase; including initial selection of all unit operations required to meet process specifications
• Experience of process package integration and vendor document reviews
• Proficient in use of technical software packages such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyser, FlareSIM, and related software packages.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software.

Advantageous.

• Experience of managing a team of engineers with accountability for team output
• Familiarity with LPG systems
• Familiarity with ProMax software
• Experience in the use of Auto CAD 2D or 3D, Smart Plant, databases and data management systems.
• Pre-commissioning/commissioning or operational experience on oilfield process plant
