FEED phase

engineering for MEP systems: define scope, system selection, load calculations, preliminary layouts, preparation of design basis documents. Perform

detailed engineering

: finalize equipment sizing and selection, ducting/piping/plumbing layouts, power distribution, lighting, fire safety systems etc. Prepare technical specifications, schematics, single?line diagrams, GA (General Arrangement) drawings, detailed shop drawings. Coordinate design with other disciplines (architects, civil, structural, HVAC, fire protection, etc.) to ensure clash?free, integrated designs; manage coordination / review meetings. Conduct calculations: load/energy, thermal, ventilation, electrical load, lighting, plumbing hydraulics, etc. Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, material take?offs, equipment lists. Ensure compliance with local codes & regulations, international standards (e.g. ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, local construction / mechanical / electrical codes). Review vendor equipment submittals: technical data sheets, performance, suitability, standards compliance. Prepare design deliverables: design basis report, design summary, material and equipment schedules. Assist in value engineering: cost optimizations, performance optimizations, alternative proposals. Support procurement / tendering process: assist in preparing tender documents for MEP components, review bids, technical evaluation. Quality assurance / control of design deliverables: peer reviews, checking drawings, consistency, clarity. Attend client / consultant / multidisciplinary review meetings; present technical proposals, design progress, clarifications. Maintain project schedules for MEP deliverables; ensure design milestones are met. Support change management: handle design changes, variations, and update all impacted deliverables. Maintain documentation, records, revisions, approvals.
