Lead Mechanical Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 MEP Design, job description This key job role reports directly to the MEP Director. You will be responsible for leading the mechanical team (c10 engineers) on an independent basis. Alongside leading the team, you will be hands on and involved in high quality mechanical systems design across concept, scheme and DD stages & producing reports including drawings and specifications.

• Lead the Mechanical Team work competently on an independent basis
• Produce outline design, scheme design and detail design reports including drawings and specifications.
• Communication and coordination with the clients and contractors.
• Play a very proactive part in influencing the design of the buildings in relation to efficient services integration and building performance.
• Ensuring project milestones are accomplished and deliverables are on time
• The ideal candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic team player with a strong natural flair to motivate and lead the team.

Lead Mechanical Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 MEP Design, Requirements The ideal candidates must have:

• Bachelors or Masters in mechanical/environmental or building services engineering and will be Chartered or working towards CEng status.
• Proven background within Mechanical building services systems design on major projects
• Experience of the entire design life cycle \xe2\x80\x93 concept, schematic and detailed design.
• Excellent client facing ability
• Healthcare, Hotels, Commercial & Residential HVAC design experience
• Knowledge and understanding of other disciplines & all associated design influences.
• Knowledge of local UAE codes and standards
• Proven knowledge of HTM, NFPA, ASHRAE and CIBSE codes & standards
• 10 to 15 years of experience in HVAC design
