We are looking for a highly skilled

Lead Instrument & Control System Engineer

to join our client a multination engineering firm's Oil & Gas project team in Qatar. The successful candidate will lead and supervise instrumentation engineering activities across greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring compliance with international codes, standards, and client requirements. This role demands strong leadership, advanced technical expertise, and proven experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead instrumentation and control system activities for FEED and Detailed Engineering projects. Supervise engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables within schedule and budget. Provide technical leadership on Instrumentation and Control systems including DCS, PLC, RTU, SCADA, SIS, F&G, WHCP, choke valves, and related equipment. Review and approve engineering deliverables including specifications, datasheets, drawings, material requisitions (MRs), technical bid evaluations (TBEs), and technical queries (TQs). Ensure compliance with QatarEnergy, Shell DEP, and other international codes and standards. Support SIL/LOPA studies, IPF classification, and functional safety assessments. Provide guidance during procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover stages. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and clients to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering

from an accredited university.

15+ years of relevant experience

in FEED and detailed engineering of Oil & Gas facilities, including offshore. At least

10 years of experience in detailed design engineering of brownfield offshore modifications

. Minimum

5 years of experience as a Lead or Supervisory Engineer

. Proven expertise in three or more of the following:

DCS, PLC, RTU, SCADA, SIS, F&G, WHCP, choke valves

. In-depth knowledge of instrumentation codes, standards, tools, and industry practices. Hands-on experience in preparation and review of

MRs, TBEs, TQs

. Familiarity with

IPF classification and SIL assessment

. Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
