Job Description
Lead Fire Life Safety Specialist
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage the project's Fire and Life Safety (FLS) program in compliance with NFPA, local civil defense, and Ashghal regulations. Conduct FLS risk assessments, audits, and inspections of all project activities and facilities. Review and approve FLS design drawings, submittals, and specifications from subcontractors. Lead the FLS team, conduct fire drills, and provide training to all project personnel. Act as the primary point of contact with Qatar Civil Defense and other regulatory bodies for FLS matters.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related engineering field. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in Fire and Life Safety, with at least 8 years in a lead or senior role on large-scale construction projects in Qatar. Skills: In-depth knowledge of international and local FLS codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, Qatar Civil Defense regulations). Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist - CFPS).
