Job Description

Job Purpose The Lead, Financial analysis will assess financial feasibility for private sector pre-engagement and to monitor the financial status of the department. Key Accountabilities Conduct short-, medium-, and long-term financial planning for Al Ain & Al Dhafra Development Department Support department leadership in assessing financial decisions (e.g. building business plans, evaluating financial risks etc.) Work with initiative management to evaluate and prioritize initiatives (RoI, financial risks, modelling of different scenarios etc.) Build financial forecasting models and scenarios to support the department in decision making (e.g. financial impact of change in number of visits from certain market) Support in assessing, planning and evaluating capital projects Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses Provide department leadership with financial reports on sector financial performance Build and maintain appropriate financial data and analytical models to support robust data and information analysis, finance intelligence research, and undertake advanced statistical and financial forecasting, scenario modelling and trends analysis Collaborate with DCT-wide finance to ensure consistent exchange and visibility Initiative tracking Centrally track initiatives' progress (i.e. progress against agreed delivery / implementation plan) Track usage of assigned resources (e.g. FTE, budgets) to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively Deploy and manage appropriate tools to track initiative progress Identification of key issues for delays in initiative delivery (in close cooperation with accountable teams) Development of recommendations to address delays in initiative delivery (in close cooperation with accountable teams) and escalation Compilation of comprehensive management reports to sector leadership on progress of initiatives across sector Budgeting and Financial Planning Manage the preparation and recommend the section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Develop and ensure effective implementation of financial policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned section activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Reports Ensure that all financial reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet DCT requirements, policies and quality standards. Qualifications Minimum of Bachelors degree in Finance Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant field
