Overview / Responsibilities: Wood is currently recruiting a Lead Engineer - Telecommunications for Dubai,UAE.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- In depth Knowledge in LAN &WAN, ACS, CCTV, FOC, IDS, PAGA, Hotline systems, F&G and IP telephone
- Responsible for production and / or review of deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, Coverage studies, specifications, reports, evaluations
- Responsible for complete engineering document activities like preparing block diagram, functional design specification, datasheets, MR, equipment layouts, interconnection drawings, termination drawings, cabinet drawings
- Technical bid evaluations, Vendor document review and approvals
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT\xe2\x80\x99s) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)
- Attend discipline specific and general training courses where required
- Ensure that design methods, standards and data used on assigned projects meet the Client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements
- Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards
- Experience in FEED, Brownfield, Upstream Oil
- Experience in Vendor package management
- Familiar with the use of industry standards and codes
- Strong analytical and problem - solving skills
- Good Oral and Communication skills
- Must have good interpersonal skills / team player
- Able to demonstrate team working skills
- Flexible with a can - do attitude
- Minimum of 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the oil and gas industry
- Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design company
- Demonstrated leadership experience and previous track record of successfully working in PMC team
- Experience of working with multi - national and multi - cultural project teams is strongly preferred
- Previous experience of working for Wood is strongly preferred
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Telecoms Engineering
