Job Description

Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership and guidance within a specific engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil).Collaborate with other discipline engineers to ensure integrated and multidisciplinary project solutions.Review and assess engineering deliverables provided by the engineering consultant within the assigned discipline.Ensure that design work complies with project requirements, industry codes, and standards.Work to optimize engineering designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project objectives.Collaborate with the engineering consultant to identify value engineering opportunities.Assist in defining the scope of work for the assigned discipline during the FEED phase.Participate in scope definition workshops and ensure alignment with project goals.Ensure that engineering designs comply with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of project deliverables.Address inter-disciplinary issues and promote effective communication between teams.Implement and enforce quality standards for engineering deliverables within the assigned discipline.Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications.Address technical issues and challenges within the assigned discipline promptly.Provide solutions and work closely with the engineering consultant to resolve technical concerns.Work with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals for engineering deliverables.Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with the assigned discipline.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and update the risk register accordinglyWork closely with the Stakeholders to understand and address specific requirements within the assigned discipline.Present and discuss engineering solutions with the Stakeholders, incorporating feedback into the design.Assist in the development and maintenance of the project schedule for the assigned discipline.Monitor progress against discipline-specific milestones and collaborate with the Project Manager on schedule optimization.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the discipline.Facilitate training sessions to enhance the skills of discipline-specific team membersIdentify opportunities for process improvement within the discipline's engineering practices.Implement measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in discipline-related activities.Prioritize and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards within the discipline.Collaborate with the HSE team to address any safety or environmental concerns related to discipline-specific activities.
