Candidate Specification

• Degree level qualification in Instrument and Control Engineering
• Engineering experience in oil and gas field including onshore facilities.
• Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative.
• Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English.
• Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion.
• Willingness to interact directly with people.
• Ability to work in an organised and structured fashion, and within time constraints.

• Must have working knowledge and experience of instrumentation and control discipline relevant onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices.
• Recent working experience of minor modifications and projects within oil and gas field.
• Experience in minor modifications and projects.
• Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices to be adopted during design & execution phases of oil/gas projects.
• Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major oil /gas project is essential.
• Must have the capacity to supervise & manage development of detailed engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with subsystems such as fire & gas, emergency shut down systems etc., and Advance Process Controls will be added qualification.
• Participation with contribution during P&IDs reviews, shop & field testing of control systems shall be demonstrable during project execution.
• Familiarity with the site activities such as supervision and inspection related to I&C.
