Our client is tier 1 cost consultancy looking to invest in Lead cost managers to join their commercial cost management team. They are looking for someone who will manage the day to day responsibilities for all commercial aspects of the component projects; including planning and controlling the budgets for the constituent projects. Monitoring and tracking actual costs vs budgets as well as reposting to commercial managers to programme lead and DMT as required. Day-to-day activities include planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, managing, reporting and controlling costs so that the projects can be completed within the approved budget. The ideal candidate will be someone who not only has excellent experience but also is professional, personable, and an excellent communicator.

A successful lead cost manager will have;

• Proven track record - at least 15 years\' experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
• Confident with cost estimation software such as CostX.
• High level of professionalism, particularly managing client relationships and maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Chartership is highly desirable but not required (e.g. MRICS, AIQS, etc).
• Strong pre-contract experience.
• Portfolio of building experience (infrastructure, road, urban spaces
• Experience with FIDIC contracts is preferred but not essential.
• Available to start in Q3 or beginning of Q4
