Lead Commissioning (mechanical System)
Job Description
Lead and manage mechanical systems commissioning to ensure all equipment and systems are completed, tested, and ready for safe operation at yard and offshore.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
(equipment checks, flushing, pressure testing, alignment, preservation)
Supervise and coordinate commissioning teams and contractors
Review and approve mechanical commissioning procedures and test packs
Coordinate with construction, piping, electrical, I&C, HSE, and operations
Ensure compliance with project specifications and offshore standards
Support offshore commissioning and start-up activities
Manage punch lists, system handover, and commissioning documentation
Report progress and resolve mechanical issues
Key Requirements
18+ years of oil & gas experience
Strong offshore mechanical commissioning experience
Expertise in static and rotating equipment
(pumps, compressors, vessels, exchangers, piping systems)
Previous experience as Lead / Senior Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical)
Experience working in fabrication yards and offshore installations
Strong leadership and coordination skills
Knowledge of international mechanical and offshore standards
