Lead Applications Engineer - Intelligent Production Systems

Partner with the best The Lead Applications Engineer ensures Baker Hughes can deliver flawless execution through involvement in pre-planning, job execution, and post-job analysis. This position delivers a technical job program that maximizes our opportunity to meet the job objectives in line with the contract terms and conditions. This position works seamlessly together with the Service Delivery Coordinators and other resources across organizational boundaries to ensure all aspects and constraints of the application are understood and have been considered. As a Lead Applications Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Ensure compliance with Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process
• Work with the assigned Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesman to understand the client's well completion or production objectives as well as the commercial terms for Baker Hughes (i.e. outcome based contract, line item contract etc.).
• Perform offset well/similar job analysis to understand application hazards and incident potential
• Work together with all disciplines and stakeholders to ensure all aspects and constraints of the application and suggested products/services has been considered
• Design a job program, including risk mitigation plans and contingency plans, that can meet the client's objective and maximize revenue potential and future job assignments for Baker Hughes
• Accurately document any calculations/simulations/plan revision and/or changes during the project cycles for visibility to dependent teams and audit purposes
• Provide on-demand support in accordance with product portfolio or on-call schedule for job execution
• Work on Field Incidents related to products/services
• Participate in Incident Investigation when required, ensuring end to end process, from job planning, preparation, and execution is considered to determine the incident root cause and drive appropriate corrective actions
• Responsible for providing sales support and product application recommendations
• Product line specific responsibilities as applicable

Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college, along with minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience (Completion and Production monitoring & optimization experience is a definite plus)
• Have significant operational and technical experience in Intelligent Production Systems (Interval Control Valves, Electronic Well Monitoring Systems, Wet Connect Systems).
• Have advanced computer skills and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis
• Comfortable presenting in front of an audience of experienced peers
• Have a demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization
• Thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements
• Have an excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills
• Have Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have the ability to travel (typically travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, etc.)
