What Does a Laundry Supervisor Do?
As a Laundry Supervisor in Dubai, you will be responsible for overseeing daily laundry operations, managing staff, maintaining linen standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and enhancing guest satisfaction through consistent service quality.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Supervise outsourced laundry services and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Monitor and maintain all laundry equipment and ensure proper chemical usage
- Maintain par stock levels for linen and guest uniforms
- Conduct regular inspections of linen and uniforms for cleanliness and damage
- Ensure accurate distribution and timely flow of linen to guest areas and outlets
- Keep records of chemical usage and prepare monthly productivity reports
- Support peak hour laundry and housekeeping operations
- Maintain organized and hazard-free workspaces
- Lead daily briefings and ensure all staff are aware of new procedures or changes
- Handle guest complaints professionally and follow up to ensure satisfaction
- Monitor inventory, conduct monthly counts, and assist in ordering supplies
- Train, supervise, and motivate laundry staff to ensure high morale and productivity
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding new employees in collaboration with HR
- Promote sustainability initiatives and ensure proper chemical storage and use
What Skills Are Needed for a Laundry Supervisor in Dubai?
Education:
- Diploma or certification in hospitality or housekeeping management preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in laundry operations, preferably in the hospitality sector
- Proven experience in managing laundry machinery, chemical handling, and eco-friendly practices
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of laundry equipment and textile care
- Proficiency in inventory software and laundry management systems
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities
