Lathe Operator

to join our team.

Role Overview:

As a Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring lathe machines, producing high?quality components in line with specifications. You will work closely with quality control and production teams to maintain efficiency, accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate and monitor lathe machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and production instructions.

Select and load appropriate tooling, fixtures and materials, adjust machine settings (speed, feed, depth) to meet specifications.

Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish and visual quality, and document results.

Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning and inspection, report any issues or defects to maintenance/engineering.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, equipment safeguards and clean?work practices.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets, minimise waste, and suggest improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum

3 years of proven experience

operating manual or CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environment.

Education:

Higher Secondary level (or equivalent)

minimum.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, gauges and tolerances.

Strong attention to detail, good hand?eye coordination, and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.

Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform machine set?up, adjustments and maintenance tasks.

Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and willingness to follow safety protocols.

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a production team.

Preferred:

Experience with CNC lathe machines.

Ability to perform measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges.

Knowledge of machining materials and tooling for turning operations.
