Job Title: Lathe Machine Operator (Conventional/CNC)Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Lathe Machine Operator to operate, set up, and maintain conventional and/or Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathes. The operator will be responsible for turning, facing, drilling, and boring operations to produce precision metal parts according to technical drawings and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup and Operation:

Set up and operate conventional or CNC lathes to perform complex turning, threading, and boring operations on various materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, brass).

Reading Blueprints:

Accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications, and work orders to determine machine adjustments and required output.

Tooling:

Select, install, and adjust the correct cutting tools, inserts, and tool holders in the turret or tool post.

Calculation and Measurement:

Perform necessary mathematical calculations (e.g., feed rates, spindle speeds) and use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges, to ensure parts meet tight tolerance requirements.

Quality Control:

Inspect the first article and subsequently produced parts to ensure they conform to quality standards, making necessary adjustments to the machine or tooling as required.

Maintenance:

Perform daily machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication checks to ensure optimal machine performance and longevity. Report any malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly.

Safety:

Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following Lock-Out/Tag-Out protocols during maintenance.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

[Specify required experience, e.g., 3-5] years of hands-on experience operating industrial Lathe Machines (Conventional or CNC).

Technical Education:

Completion of a vocational course, technical certification, or apprenticeship in Machining, Tool and Die Making, or a related field.

Blueprint Reading:

Must be highly proficient in reading complex technical drawings, including understanding tolerances, surface finishes, and GD&T.

Measurement Mastery:

Expert ability to use and calibrate precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).

CNC Specific (if applicable):

Experience in setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines, including minor programming edits (G-code/M-code).

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Attention to Detail:

Exceptional focus on detail and dedication to producing parts with zero defects.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
