Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Lathe Operator

to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating lathe machines to produce precision metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role demands precision, safety awareness, and a commitment to maintaining production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (CNC) lathes. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machining requirements. Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings based on the job specification. Monitor machine operation to detect any issues and ensure parts are produced to specifications. Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). Perform regular machine maintenance and cleaning as per guidelines. Troubleshoot and correct machining issues, making necessary adjustments to machines. Ensure adherence to all company safety protocols and operational procedures. Record production output and report discrepancies or defects to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Proven experience as a Lathe Operator (manual and/or CNC). Strong understanding of machining principles and metal properties. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances. Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality checks. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Immediate Joiner is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Ability to stand for long periods. Capacity to lift and handle materials up to specified weight limits. Manual dexterity and good eyesight.
