Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual and/or CNC lathes to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications. As a Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for setting up machines, monitoring operations, and ensuring the quality of finished products. You will work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel to meet production goals and maintain safety standards. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, select appropriate tools and materials, and perform routine maintenance on equipment. You must be able to measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are essential for success in this position. The Lathe Operator will also be expected to troubleshoot issues with machinery, make necessary adjustments during the machining process, and document production data accurately. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively. Familiarity with safety protocols and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and organized workspace are also important. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a lathe operator or machinist Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints Familiarity with precision measuring tools Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Basic math and computer skills Knowledge of machining principles and materials Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods Good communication and teamwork skills
