Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Laser Cutting Technician

with a strong background in laser cutting operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate should hold an

ITI or Polytechnic Diploma

and have a

minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience

working with laser cutting machines and associated steel fabrication equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain laser cutting machines to ensure precision and efficiency in metal cutting processes. Perform regular and preventive maintenance on laser cutting systems and related equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues in laser machines and accessories. Maintain and service support equipment such as

chillers, screw compressors, waterjet machines, and welding units

. Ensure all machinery operates safely and complies with company and industry standards. Maintain accurate logs and documentation of maintenance activities and repairs. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize machine performance and reduce downtime. Diagnose and repair

circuit board

issues (experience in this area is a plus).

Candidate Requirements:

ITI or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in laser cutting operations, maintenance, and repair. Strong understanding of laser technology, machine tools, and industrial safety practices. Experience in handling preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of steel fabrication equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Experience with circuit board repairs will be considered an added advantage. Good communication and team collaboration skills.
