As a Laser Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser equipment used in various industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, research, and telecommunications. Your primary duties will include setting up, calibrating, and operating laser systems, conducting tests to ensure proper functionality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing routine maintenance and repairs. Additionally, you may be involved in designing and implementing laser systems for specific applications, as well as providing technical support and training to other personnel. Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain laser equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Set up and calibrate laser systems for specific applications, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate the performance of laser systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning optics, replacing components, and aligning beams.
- Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance data.
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to design and develop new laser systems or improve existing ones.
- Provide technical support to other team members and assist with training activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in laser technology and industry trends to recommend improvements or new solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols related to laser operations.
