Position Title: Landscaping and Fit-Out QS and Estimator

Location: Dubai

Department: Estimating/Project Management

Reports To: Project Manager

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Landscaping Engineer, the role requires you to be experienced at both pre and post contract duties.To carry out the daily valuations and cost estimate of work in progress and tender invitations for landscape (hard & soft) fit-out and civil works. Preparing tenders and contract documents including bills of quantities, prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts, Negotiate and prepare contract variations claims the extra cost of the design Value engineering, procurement advice and assistance during the tendering procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating and Cost Management:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for landscaping and fit-out projects from drawings, specifications, and client briefs.

Analyze project plans and specifications to understand scope of work, materials, labor, and equipment requirements.

Provide accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontractors, plant, and equipment, and assess market trends for pricing.

Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and clients to establish the most cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.

Project Budgeting and Financial Control:

Report on any potential cost variations and recommend solutions.

Track and reconcile costs, including labor, material, and subcontractor costs, ensuring accurate cost reporting to clients and management.

Contract Management:

Assist in managing variations, change orders, and final accounts throughout the project lifecycle.

Support project managers in ensuring contractual compliance and managing cost issues.

Cost Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of cost estimates, project budgets, tenders, contracts, and change orders.

Prepare periodic cost reports for project managers and senior leadership, outlining budget performance, forecasts, and risks.

Document any changes in scope, client requests, or variations to ensure accurate reporting of project status.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Experience:

Proven experience (4+ years) as a QS and estimator within the landscaping, fit-out Company and at least 4 years in UAE.

Experience in preparing and managing budgets for both small and large-scale projects.

Experience with cost estimating software and Microsoft Excel.

Fluent English speaker and good communication skills.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of landscaping and fit-out materials, processes, and industry standards.

Familiarity with contract types, tendering, and procurement procedures.
