We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Landscape worker. As a Landscape worker, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tiles in outdoor landscapes such as patios, pathways, pool decks, and other outdoor living spaces. Responsibilities:
- Tile Installation: Install a variety of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and concrete pavers in outdoor landscapes according to design plans and specifications.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for tiling by ensuring they are clean, smooth, and properly leveled. This may involve removing old tiles, grading surfaces, and applying appropriate underlayment materials.
- Cutting and Shaping: Use tile cutting tools to cut tiles to size and shape as needed to fit irregular spaces and create intricate patterns.
- Grouting and Sealing: Apply grout between tiles, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Seal tiles and grout to protect against water damage, stains, and weathering.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed tile installations to ensure quality craftsmanship, proper alignment, and adherence to design specifications.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance on existing tile installations as needed, including replacing broken tiles, regrouting, and resealing.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with the final results.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with landscape designers, architects, and other team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of tile installations with overall landscape designs.
- Proven experience in landscape tiling or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
- Proficiency in tile installation techniques, including surface preparation, cutting, grouting, and sealing. Familiarity with different types of tiles and their unique installation requirements.
