Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Inspector to join our team! In this role you will conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications. What You\'ll Be Doing:
  • Daily site inspections/visits and comment on ensuring work compliance with project specifications, contract obligations, and authority standards and approve the work inspection requests.
  • Inspection and checking of materials related to landscape & Irrigation to be used on the project to ensure that the approved material is used. (MIR)
  • Preparation of site reports about site activities and schedules for management and client.
  • Nursery visits for the selection of plants for the project and preparing relevant reports and presentations.
  • Review of material submittal on basis of contract specifications
  • Review of detailed method statement on basis of contract specifications for irrigation & Landscape.
  • Review of drawings on basis of contract specifications and design for the preparation of shop drawings.
  • Review of Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s daily reports for Progress, manpower and resources reports submitted by the contractor.
  • Identify conflicts & Coordination/communications with other services works, and the relevant team for site technical issues, and solving problems in a timely manner.
  • Cross-checking the Supervision and inspection of plants/vegetation related to garden, park, and landscape area.
  • Guide contractors on construction matters of landscape and Irrigation.
  • Issuance of noncompliance reports (NCR), Site observation reports (SORs), and site instructions in case the works not in accordance with specification and Approve documents.
  • Coordination with the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work and communicate with seniors regarding the progress of works, materials,
  • Coordinate and co-operate with the Client\xe2\x80\x99s representative during inspection and site visit.
  • Coordinate with the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s Engineer regarding request routing, checking, testing, and calculations for approved works.
  • Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed permanent work of Landscape and irrigation.
  • Ensure safety procedures are fully complied by the contractor.
  • Monitoring the landscape maintenance works including, pruning/shaping, weeding, cleaning, and managing
  • Pest/disease control measures at the site during the establishment & nourishment period Identify pest, insect and fungal diseases and nutrient deficiency of plants and lawn grass and recommend appropriate action and application for plant protection.
  • Reviewing the approved pesticides to be used for palms, trees, shrubs, Grass, succulents, and ground covers and monitoring proper applications at the site which are to be used during the establishment and nourishment period and Prepare pesticides disposal report.
  • Recording the approved quantities and prepare tracker for remaining activities
  • Monitor procurement strategy of the contractor and material available on site timely manner according approved schedule.
  • Review of as-built drawings verifying accuracy of field information and relate approvals.
  • Inspection of completed works, and prepare snag lists.
  • Reviewing the project closeout documents and participating in a handing-over project to the asset
  • owner/authority.
  • Review & implement yearly PPM (Planned Preventive Measures) and best agricultural practices for irrigation, fertilizer/pesticide application at site.
  • Check the operation of Central Irrigation System including pump pressure and flow at pump station.
  • Review operation and maintenance manuals for soft landscape & Irrigation.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment
  • Good communication skills in English
What Desired Skills You\'ll Bring:
  • Prior experience working on large scale infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
