Job Summary:

The Landscaping Draftsman will be responsible for preparing highly detailed technical drawings and layout plans for landscape design projects in coordination with landscape architects and site engineers. The role requires precision in drafting softscape and hardscape elements, irrigation systems, and external works, aligned with project specifications and local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed landscape shop drawings including planting plans, irrigation layouts, hardscape details, grading, and setting out plans using AutoCAD or Revit. Develop sections, elevations, and construction details for landscaping elements such as paving, curbs, pergolas, planters, water features, and retaining walls. Generate and maintain as-built drawings based on redline markups from site engineers and ensure final documentation reflects field conditions. Coordinate with the landscape architect, MEP draftsmen, and civil team to ensure integration of irrigation lines, lighting systems, drainage, and utility crossings. Interpret design intent from conceptual drawings and convert them into buildable CAD documents for site execution. Assist in preparing BOQ take-offs and material schedules related to landscape drawings, ensuring alignment with IFC and tender documents. Ensure drawings comply with municipal authority guidelines (e.g., Dubai Municipality or relevant local authority), and assist in preparing submissions if required. Maintain a structured drawing registry and ensure timely revisions and updates in line with site progress and consultant comments. Perform site visits when necessary to gather dimensions, verify existing conditions, or support coordination.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline. 5 years of experience as a Landscaping Draftsman in a building contracting or landscaping company in the UAE. Good understanding of landscape construction practices, including grading, planting, paving, irrigation, and external works.
