Job Title
Landscape Architecture Engineer
Position Summary
The Landscape Architecture Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the development of outdoor spaces in alignment with project requirements, sustainability goals, and regulatory standards. The role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, urban planners, and contractors to deliver aesthetically pleasing, functional, and environmentally responsible landscapes.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed landscape designs for a variety of projects.
• Develop construction documents, technical specifications, and planting plans.
• Conduct site analysis including topography, climate, soil, and existing vegetation.
• Coordinate grading, drainage, and irrigation systems design in collaboration with civil and mechanical engineers.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Superimpose landscape plans over civil or architectural drawings to verify integration and alignment.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and government agencies for design approvals.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to ensure adherence to design intent and specifications.
• Integrate sustainable and low-maintenance landscape solutions, including water-efficient irrigation and native plantings.
• Prepare presentation materials using CAD, 3D visualization, and rendering software for client reviews.

Master s degree in landscape architecture, Urban Design, or Environmental Design.
Professional Registration
Eligible for registration/licensure with a recognized professional body (local engineering/architecture council).
Active professional license/registration.
Experience
Fresh Graduate
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and landscape design software (SketchUp, Lumion, Revit). Knowledge of irrigation design, grading, planting, and sustainable landscape practices.
GIS applications, BIM coordination, advanced 3D rendering and animation skills.
Knowledge
Familiarity with local codes, Urban Design, environmental regulations, and landscape standards.
LEED, SITES, or similar sustainable certification knowledge.
Soft Skills
Strong communication, coordination, and time-management abilities. Creative design thinking and problem-solving skills.#LI-KS1
Project management certification or proven leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
Working Conditions
Office and site-based work, with occasional travel to project locations. May require working in outdoor environments during site visits
