The Landscape Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the development of outdoor spaces such as residential gardens, commercial landscapes, parks, and public areas. The role involves creative design, technical detailing, coordination with clients and consultants, and supervision of landscape works to ensure projects are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare landscape concept designs, detailed drawings, and technical specifications
Develop planting plans, irrigation layouts, hardscape details, and lighting concepts
Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers
Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and material specifications
Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals
Supervise site works to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards
Ensure projects comply with local authority regulations and environmental guidelines
Provide solutions to design and site-related challenges
Attend client meetings, site inspections, and coordination meetings
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
Minimum 0-1 years of experience in landscape design and execution
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, or similar design software
Good knowledge of plants, irrigation systems, hardscape materials, and construction methods
Strong design, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Knowledge of local authority standards and approvals (if applicable)
