The Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise measurements and mapping land boundaries, infrastructure, and construction layouts. They ensure that all project alignments are accurate and comply with approved drawings and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:Surveying and Measurements
Conduct site surveys to determine land boundaries, elevations, alignments, and topography.
Use surveying equipment such as Total Station, GPS, Auto Levels, and Theodolites to collect accurate data.
Set out reference points and markers to guide construction activities (setting out works).
Data & Documentation
Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, records, and survey reports.
Interpret and verify survey data, maps, and drawings.
Submit as-built surveys and reports for review and approvals.
Project Coordination
Work closely with engineers, architects, and site foremen to ensure accuracy of layouts.
Assist in resolving discrepancies between site conditions and construction drawings.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all surveying activities comply with local laws, municipality regulations, and project specifications.
Conduct checks to maintain accuracy throughout the construction process.
Health & Safety
Follow site safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
Report any unsafe conditions or potential hazards during surveying tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Geomatics.
3-5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in the construction industry (UAE experience preferred).
Proficient in using surveying instruments and AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software.
Strong knowledge of local surveying regulations and construction practices.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
Valid UAE driving license (optional but preferred).
