To perform sampling, testing, and analysis of construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and other civil materials) in compliance with relevant standards and project specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety in all laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on
soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, cement, and water
samples.
Prepare, label, and maintain all test samples in accordance with standard procedures.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure regular calibration and functionality.
Record and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and consistency with quality standards.
Prepare and submit laboratory test reports to the Laboratory Engineer / QA Officer.
Follow
ASTM, BS, AASHTO, and local authority
standards during all testing procedures.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance at all times.
Assist in field sampling and in-situ testing as required (e.g., field density tests, plate load tests, etc.).
Participate in internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Certificate
in Civil Engineering, Construction Materials, or a related field.
Minimum 1
-4 years of experience
in a civil/materials testing laboratory.
Strong knowledge of testing standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO, etc.).
Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and testing software.
Ability to interpret test data and prepare accurate reports.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
