Description

Role Summary/Purpose

Lab Production Chemist to support existing and new energy business at MENA region. The role would involve working closely with product management and product application managers to support existing accounts on daily activities and meet customer KPI's with ongoing applications.

Essential Responsibilities

• Managing of all laboratory testing equipment, sourcing consumables, and setting up new test rigs.
• Evaluate and recommend Speciality chemicals to support the wide range of industrial applications.
• support field visits and customer on-site testing for product selection and recommendation.
• support needs and creation and sharing lab batch samples of products.
• Analyze process data, prepare SOP's and product development reports.
• Working knowledge under ISO guidelines.
• Maintaining laboratory data base and managing site inventories of production and laboratory chemicals.
• Troubleshot specialty chemical related problems at customer sites.
• work closely with technology to support development of new technologies
• Applying laboratory HSE standards and liaise with legal compliance teams.
• This position will require occasional travel to business.
• Deep knowledge in corrosion and carrying our electrochemical test evaluations,
• Run bottle testing to support selection of Emulsion breaking and phase separation chemistries
• Jar test evaluations and selection of water treatment chemistries
• Carry out pour point depression tests to establish wax deposition and effective chemistries.
• Testing biocides, sale inhibition and screening of oxygen and H2S scavengers.
• Knowledge about scale inhibition chemistries and their lab evaluations
• Knowledge about asphaltene inhibition chemistries and their lab evaluations

Qualifications/Requirements

10-15 years of relevant chemical treatments.
B.Sc. degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Biology or Chemistry.
Valid driving UAE license required.
Self-accountability for training and growth

Memberships on professional organizations, related training courses, previous related projects and assignments.
