detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Testing Laboratory Manager
to lead and oversee the daily operations of our testing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial laboratory testing, quality systems, staff leadership, and safety compliance.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the laboratory team, coordinating testing workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining equipment, and driving continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise daily lab operations including scheduling, testing, reporting, and workflow management.
Ensure all testing is performed in compliance with applicable industry standards (e.g.,
ASTM, ISO, ASME
) and regulatory requirements.
Oversee, mentor, and support a team of lab technicians, analysts, and quality control staff.
Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for lab instruments and testing equipment.
Manage laboratory budgets, procurement, and inventory control.
Review and approve technical reports and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
Maintain and continuously improve the laboratory's
Quality Management System
(e.g.,
ISO/IEC 17025
).
Collaborate with internal departments and external clients to meet testing and reporting deadlines.
Lead safety programs and ensure full compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service quality.
