Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan laboratory spaces to support scientific, research, and technical operations
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate laboratory designs into overall facility plans
• Assess user requirements, workflows, and operational needs to optimize space utilization and safety
• Identify process improvement opportunities and propose innovative, practical laboratory design solutions
• Prepare and maintain planning documents, drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Ensure all laboratory designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and sustainability best practices
• Support project delivery from concept, design development, and construction through commissioning
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders throughout all project stages

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in laboratory design, planning, or facility coordination
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, utilities, and environmental health and safety standards
• Proficiency in design and planning software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
