Job Purpose

Responsible for assisting the laboratory chemists and QA/QC Manager in the operation of the laboratory of Lubricating Oils and Greases in the plant.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Ensure testing of lubricants & Greases as per ASTM/IP/DIN/ISO methods.
2. Draws samples of raw material, filling line and finished products as per the directives of Chemist.
3. Performs lubricants and grease samples testing as per ASTM test methods. Assuring the product is meeting the defined specifications.
4. Participates in proficiency testing programs.
5. Checks packaging material as per defined specification/procedures.
6. Maintains the laboratory and laboratory equipment/apparatus in a absolutely clean working condition at all times.
7. Ensures proper storage and easy recall of the laboratory retention samples.
8. Ensures the adequate supply and inventory of laboratory chemicals/gases is available for testing by replenishment from the store at proper intervals.
9. Assists in ensuring to maintain the compliance of laboratory KPI / objectives.
10. Participates in the implementation of the HSE policy of the company and follow safe working practices across the plant. Supports the laboratory management system.
11. Other Responsibilities as per Company\'s Rules and Delegation of Authority Manual.
12. To ensure the compliance of Legal, business ethics, group sustainability/ security
13. Conducts safety audits / gapes within the department and inform HSE department immediately.
14. To takes part in accident / incident investigation as and when required.
15. To report Near misses, Hypo near misses to concerned staff

Additional Principal Accountabilities

Experience

• High School certificate &/or apprentice in laboratory from a recognized institute.

• 1 to 2 years experience preferably in lubricants blending plant.
